Born and raised on the North Shore of Chicago, after early visits to Telluride in the early 1970’s, Christen arrived to stay with her two young daughters in the summer of 1985. Both daughters graduated from Telluride High School, and went on to successful careers in Education & Social Services. Add to that sensibility a daughter with a culinary degree, and indisputably the best cake maker on the western slope! Four healthy, happy  grandchildren round out her family, and are her greatest joy.

 

Christen understands how special Telluride and the surrounding communities are, and has been an active participant since the early years of growth. She knows the surrounding markets and is active in the local communities. She acts as volunteer Curator to the Artspace in Ridgway Colorado, uniting people and Art and bringing her talents to contribute to the enhancement of the Ridgway Creative District located on the restored historic downtown Main Street.  Drive by to enjoy a vibrant example of her design skills.
