I became a Realtor because I love helping people make their dream of home ownership a reality, especially in Durango. I was fortunate enough to be born and raised here and can’t imagine a better place to own a home. I grew up playing soccer, raising Guide Dogs for the Blind and learning the importance of balancing work and hobbies. While attending Fort Lewis College, I took advantage of their Junior Trimester Abroad program and spent six months studying business in Europe. After earning my Bachelor’s Degree, I spent a summer in Minnesota working for Outward Bound. My time away from Durango was just the experience I needed to realize that this amazing, unique community is where I want to live, work and raise my family. Melanie has been wonderful to work with: from our sale of land in Costilla County, the purchase of a townhouse in Montrose County, the sale of our home in LaPlata County and continuing to find us our forever hobby farm North of Red Mountain Pass.
